Gourmet Paper (Also known as edible toilet paper, edible bog roll or eating paper) is a delicacy from Japan that became popular in Australia amongst Japanese Immigrants, the delicacy itself is commonly used it as an ingredient in many dishes, such as Chocolate gourmet paper. Gourmet paper is often eaten as a snack, however it's also used to make Spring Rolls. Gourmet paper itself resembles Toilet rolls however, they actually taste good.

The history of gourmet paper dates back to the Japanese food era (食物, fuudo). It was invented by (READICTED). In Japanese, it was called Shit Take because it was literally a shit take where everybody used to to wipe their ass, and then proceed to eat it. Later it was used more as a food than an ass-wiping tool. The dish became popular amongst WW1 and WW2 Soldiers, where they were given as Military rations that also double as toilet paper. During the economic crisis that ensued the 2nd world war, it was commonly eaten due to the food shortages in Japan.

In modern day, Gourmet paper is popular amongst people of all kind, including Your Mom

Gourmet paper is used in many ways, mostly it is just eaten straight away off the roll, however there are methods of cooking it, such as deep frying it to form a crisp which many Indians in yotube comments sections misnterpate as Papadams

In Popular Culture[edit | edit source]

Red Dick from the Filthy Frank Show is a character who craves for gourmet paper, he is seen constantly eating it and brining it along as a snack, even thought Papa Franku disapproves of it.
