Gibran Rakabuming Raka, enthroned as Prince Fufufafa of Surakarta is the son of the 7th Emperor of Indonesia, Emperor Jokowi, and currently serves as the 14th Emperor's deputy. He is the youngest Emperor's deputy to be appointed. According to his mother, former Empress Iriana, he is still a child.
Life[edit | edit source]
Just like his father, Emperor Jokowi, Gibran was born into a commoner family. Not much is known about him except that he and his younger brother, Kaesang, worked as Martabak cake sellers. He went to school all the way to Singapore to realize his and his father's dreams.
In 2005, after his father became the new Viscount Surakarta from the commoner family, Gibran began planning his future by taking advantage of his position. He then promoted Surakarta's signature Martabak and managed to attract members of the The Great Palace of Surakarta. Finally, he was approved to be given the traditional title of "Kanjeng Pangeran Surakarta".
Prince of Surakarta (2021–2024)[edit | edit source]
Armed with the influence of his father, Emperor Jokowi, and his family who began to climb the nobility ladder, Gibran was then officially elected as Prince of Surakarta. He took the title "Fufufafa", which can be interpreted as: Someone who happily fights the world to fulfill his Schizophrenic ambition. He then served with Teguh Prakosa.
During his time as Prince of Surakarta, he was active in humanitarian activities that made him very popular and slowly built his image. Since Emperor Jokowi is a rival of Emperor Prabowo, Prince Fufufafa is also active in writing satire about Prabowo. Here is one of the satire that we have found after exploring the national archives:
“I'm imagining Prabowo climbing Mount Semeru.
Then when he reached the top, he raised the red and white flag and shouted,
"Titiek, come back to my arms, come back!".
Then after that, he rolled down like a hedgehog.

Emperor's deputy (since 2024)[edit | edit source]
However, Prince Fufufafa and Prabowo were later elected as the new Emperor and Emperor's deputy in 2024. He is the youngest Emperor's deputy to be inaugurated in Indonesian history, while Prabowo is the oldest Emperor to be inaugurated.
Controversy[edit | edit source]
The only bad thing about this guy is that he told pregnant women in Indonesia to drink sulfuric acid.
Father's dynasty politics[edit | edit source]
Prince Fufufafa is one of the results of the dynasty politics carried out by his father, Emperor Jokowi, who may have been inspired by other Indonesian emperors. Most of the demonstrations that emerged at the end of Emperor Jokowi's reign were related to Fufufafa.
Age issue[edit | edit source]
It is known that Fufufafa could become Emperor's deputy because of the support of his uncle, Anwar Usman who at that time served as the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court. Anwar relaxed the requirements to become Emperor's deputy from 40 years to 30 years. One of the Chinese narrow-eyed media dubbed him as "Nepo Baby".
