“Na na na na na na na na Flying Dutchman!”

Theme song

Flying Dutchman is a superhero who defends justice in a corrupted town called "City of Good Hope". He uses to move in the heart of the storm, which makes City of Good Hope a very shitty place to live.

Origin[edit | edit source]

Young Hendrick Van der Decken saw his parents murdered. After that traumatizing experience he swore revenge on criminals and decided to fight evil. Fortunately his parents were filthy rich so he didn't have to work for his living. That leaves a lot of time to do things that really matter, like beating the shit out of mentally ill people. He sold his soul to devil, to get superpowers (and ability to get around the Cape of Good Hope) and got cursed to eternal "sailing" around the town.

Powers and weaknesses[edit | edit source]

Flying Dutchman can fly [1], raise a storm,[2] and cause horribly bad luck to anyone who sees him[3]. Not too good at all, looks like devil won in the trade. Flying Dutchman's weak spot is that he can never reach the port. That has made criminals to move their business to port and do it there with no one bothering (local police is even more useless than GCPD).

Allies[edit | edit source]

Flying Dutchman has a teenager partner, Davy Jones AKA Flying Dutchboy. Jones is a mutant who has tentacles in his face. He got bullied in the school and that turned him into a dark vigilante. Or whatever, the truth is that he is in only because there must be one child having an adventure so readers can have someone to identify with.

Flying Dutchmobile[edit | edit source]

"Quickly, Flying Dutchboy, get into the Dutchmobile!"

Flying Dutchman has a vehicle called the Flying Dutchmobile, or just Dutchmobile. It's a big crewless ship and it seems to be sailing always headwinds.
