Autism $peaks

Autism $peaks is a branch of Florida's local mafia in the United States. It sponsors research to cure autism. This is because autism is a plague, a great evil, and something that must be eradicated, possibly faster than homosexuality. They also conduct outreach aimed at families that know how to give their kids a good ol' proper beating.
Some autism activists who know autism is simply a disability/difference rather than a disease have criticized Autism $peaks and its proponents for seeking a cure, and its tendencies to care more about parents of autistic children than the kids and adults themselves. In response, its defenders have pointed to how that one guy who criticized them is secretly gay, and that the proponents are very rich and sexy.
