Alexander Nix
The Right Honourable Sir Alexander James Ashburner Nix KBE (born 1975) is the current Viceroy of India. Formerly a widely respected businessman, he is celebrated for establishing Cambridge Analytica, a political consulting firm aiming to simplify elections in Caribbean and African nations by moving most of the decision-making to London. A scion of a family with ties to British India since the days of the East India Company, he was appointed as the Viceroy of India by Queen Elizabeth II at the behest of Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2020.
In 2018, Alexander Nix was appointed a Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II in the Queen's Birthday Honours for services to British imperialism through his work at Cambridge Analytica. In 2020 it was announced that Boris Johnson is pushing for a life peerage for Nix.
He is noted for his surnames, Ashburner and Nix, the latter meaning "nothing", the end result of the burning of ashes.
