Hey, Iwillkillyou333, why do you use "We", when the U.F.B.I. page says that you are the only active member? I am greatSoup? 18:29 5-Jan-11

SubZero[edit source]

This page has been nominated for deletion at UN:VFD. It technically qualifies for nomination as the page is three years old. However, I can see that your reuse of the page is in its first day, and we usually don't VFD such new work. Would you please go to the VFD page and explain to the voters what you have in mind for this page? Thanks.

Also, please ignore the vaguely threatening message in the previous section. Spıke ¬ 18:16 5-Jan-11

PS--Replying to your question to Sycamore--Your article was put on VFD when it was nothing but a photograph and two lines of text. Consensus there is to give you some time to develop it. However, articles never do well if they are (1) about a video-game character, (2) don't give the reader some idea of the article's link to reality, and (3) become just an excuse to make stuff up about the character. Other stuff we hate:

  • Biographies that have to start with a section about the person's birth, when you have nothing good to say about it
  • Nonsense numbers, and nonsense year numbers
  • And "list-cruft"--Lists of super-powers, vulnerabilities, allies, enemies, episodes, etc. Especially when they deteriorate into one-line entries.

The article has one of the rare good Oscar Wilde quotes. But "hints the name"? Learn the correct word or you are overdriving your headlights. Good luck. Spıke ¬ 09:46 6-Jan-11

New Articles[edit source]

Don't put new articles into the main space unless you are actively working on them (this doesn't include a note informing people that you will eventually work on something)....the best way to do something like this would be in your own userspace, ie User:Sub_Zero/Ice Kream....hope that helps... -- Sir Mhaille Icons-flag-gb.png (talk to me)

Hey there[edit source]

I want to let you know that the recent hubbub about SubZero only happened because people want to make sure everyone plays along nicely. The site is supposed to be a parody encyclopedia that anyone can participate in, and so there are rules to make sure that content is funny and people who are like crazy joke police.

Nobody's forcing you to do anything, and I hope the recent situation didn't sour your experience on the site. If you'd like, and have the time, we do have resources on starting out on the site. I doubt anybody expects you to read every single word, but it might help you to atleast skim over some of it.

Probably the most important (to me anyways) is the Help Menu, it has links to a lot of other specific things about editing.

Here are a few other resources:

These pages are more generally about Uncyclopedia:

And if you want to ask questions or talk about whatever, there is the Village Dump, our local forums. There are lots of other ways to participate in the site, too.

If you ever have any questions feel free to ask me, make a topic on the Village Dump, or I'm sure plenty of other people are willing to help. Like you, we are all here to just have a good time and try to make others, and ourselves, laugh.
