Welcome![edit source]

Hello, Loopygrumpkins, and welcome to Uncyclopedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If not, the door's right over there... no, a little more to your left... yeah. Anyway, here are a few good links for people like you:

If you read anything at all, make it the above three links. If you want to find out more about Uncyclopedia or need more help with something, try these:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being an Uncyclopedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~) or use the "sign" button (Button sig.png) above the edit box. This will automatically produce your name and the date.

At Uncyclopedia, writing articles is not a requirement, but it certainly is a fun and easy way to express your creativity. To write an article, it's recommended that you start it in your userspace (for example, User:Loopygrumpkins/Article about stuff) so you can edit it at your leisure. If you decide to create it in the cold world of mainspace, make sure it is in accordance with the policies laid out above, and if you're not done put the "Work-In-Progress" template - {{construction}} - onto it as well.

If the current colonization doesn't suit your fancy, then browse our rewrite and idea categories. We have lots of articles just sitting around for someone to improve, so don't be afraid - dive right in!

If you need help, ask me on my talk page, ask at the Dump, or ask an administrator on their talk page. Additionally, the Uncyclopedian Adopt-a-Noob program is there to bring experienced editors straight to you. Simply leave a message on an adopter's talkpage to join. Again, welcome!  --EMC [TALK] 15:40 Feb 24 2010

John Adams[edit source]

Hey there, I see you've recently added to the John Adams article. I've been working on re-writing that article for a while now User:Skinfan13/John Adams and I just wanted to let you know that when I'm finished your version is probably going to disappear. If you'd like to discuss the issue further, please leave me a message at my talk page --Sir Skinfan13 Talk {< CUN RotM FBotM VFH ΥΣΣ Maj. SK >} 15:10 EST 7 Mar, 2010

Your article is a goner[edit source]

Please read the talk page (click on Discussion) of Webster Transitional School, where I note that articles on middle schools inevitably end up on Votes For Deletion as not of general interest, and I invite you to use your considerable editing and coding talents on articles that the rest of us care about. Cheers. Spıke ¬ 13:04 12-Mar-10

History[edit source]

This is what I've noticed: you have a sense of history. Isn't that a wonderful sense to have? There is no way to ever be bored when you have that one. The newest/latest thing I'm focused on, CERN is going to start aiming the 3.5 tev (sp?) beams at each other in a few hours, to create 7 tv collisions as soon as they have them aligned. Which means today is one of the greatest days, scientifically, in 'history'. Yay. Aleister in Chains 00:04 30 3 mmx

VFD rules[edit source]

You haven't been around, so: There are 19 entries, 18 of them active, at this moment. That means only two free slots. Don't nominate more than two more, until stuff gets decided, or you'll be banned for 1 day. Spıke ¬ 22:06 30-Mar-10

And another thing, Admins (I am not one) get upset if you delete stuff from talk pages. I guess they're thinking it opens up the possibility that people will try to change the record of what was said to whom.

And another thing, now that I am writing to you again, Watch is switched back on (I switch it off when it's clear a conversation has ended) and I was alerted that you have changed your user page, with a note to yourself to propose Anne for deletion. I agree that it's crap, and it's not going anywhere. This article is not for VFD because it's newer than a week old. And it's not obvious crap (like, it uses complete sentences) so it's not good for QVFD (instant administrative deletion) either. Author's user page is equally random. The Uncyclopedia deletion policy says the right thing is to slap an {{ICU}} on it. Don't know if that will work. Spıke ¬ 23:56 30-Mar-10

Based on the way it's written (celebrity boyfriends, Anne's favorite things, the general manner of it seeming like someone's page on a social networking site without incorporating any humor at all (with the exception of things that seem to be hilarious to the narrator, as indicated by the Eh eh eh!s), I believe that Anne is the author herself. Loopygrumpkins 00:18, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

(Am moving your comment to your own talk page to keep the dialogue in one place.) No question. Read the deletion policy, not because you've done anything wrong, but just to review your options. It may be her first attempt at an article; it doesn't deserve harshness, but neither ought it to survive. Contacting the author is always an option. I said, "Don't know if that will work," above, because it's not clear to me that the author is coherent, sober, etc. Spıke ¬ 00:24 31-Mar-10

I can talk to Mysteryvole, unless you would prefer to. Loopygrumpkins 00:31, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

Go for it. This will be interesting. Spıke ¬ 00:34 31-Mar-10 PS--Look at her user page first (also the comments in Special:Contributions/Mysteryvole and decide whether you really want to jump in. Spıke ¬ 00:48 31-Mar-10

Came a bit late. I'm in now. Loopygrumpkins 00:54, March 31, 2010 (UTC)

While you were out, RabbiTechno slapped an {{ICU}} on Anne[1]; the author went away for two hours, came back, did a little vandalizing of pages for which she was reprimanded by ChiefjusticeDS, and listed her own article on QVFD, which now cannot be done 'cause it has an {{ICU}} tag on it. You have done a public service, more powerful users than we are on the case, and it will work itself out. Down with Editing Under the Influence. Spıke ¬ 19:50 31-Mar-10

  1. PS--The Rebbe did not think that Anne was the author, but rather that Anne was someone the author was trying to cyber-bully, and it was he who recommended that the author list it on QVFD.

RabbiTechno now replies to me on his talk page and says there is a character Anne on the show Little Britain (see, for example, littlebritain.wikia.com), as the article itself states. However, it still isn't any good, and is about to become one week old, hint, hint. Spıke ¬ 16:10 5-Apr-10

being proactive[edit source]

Hey, if you remember from above we had a brief conversation about John Adams and all. I've notice that you plan on working on our Presidential articles here on Uncyc. I also have been planning on working on these articles for some time, and although I've kinda dropped off from that recently due to other things, reviewing and other stuff for example, I'm still interested in doing this. I was wondering if maybe you wanted to team up to tackle the abundance of terrible presidential articles? This way we could split them up and they would get done twice as fast and we wouldn't be stepping on each other's toes. Along those lines I would really like to request that I get to do old TJ. I'm a huge Jeffersonian Libertarian (I made the userbox for that, and I'm the only one who uses it lol) and I think lampooning my political idol would be a blast. Also, since I've invested so much time into my John Adams rewrite, I'd also like to go ahead and add my version when it's done. At any rate, I would love to divvy up the remaining articles so that we can both work on them without working on the same ones. please let me know what you think about all that --Sir Skinfan13 Talk {< CUN RotM FBotM VFH ΥΣΣ Maj. NaziPod[edit source]

I took up your challenge. There isn't much left, but NaziPod is no longer what you said it is. Spıke ¬ 11:48 2-Jul-10

Hey dude. When you vote on an article on VFD, could you make sure you update the vote number? Thanks! Saberwolf116 01:32, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Bow ties[edit source]

Nice work on Islam and Bow Ties, did you know it's been nominated by Zombiebaron on VFH? Even if nommed and featured you can still include it in the Poo Lit contest, and of course still continue to polish or add to it while it's on VFH. A home run has been hit today, and is still in the air. . .congrats. Aleister 9:36 24-1-'11

Ah, I see you are working on it. Good. It may have been nommed a little too early, but gives you the chance to work on it under pressure. I will alter my comment a bit, and I do find that setting up a gallery is not the same as it used to be. Now it lines the pics up and down rather than side-by-side, which is how it used to operate. This creates the impression of lots of white space, a problem for lots of pages now. More soon. Aleister 00:14 25-1-'11
What do you think are the main issues with the article and what might be a good way to solve the gallery problem? Loopygrumpkins 00:44, January 25, 2011 (UTC)
First some proofreading needed, and some quote marks, etc. Would you mind if I did a quick edit sweep. I'll know more after that. The gallery, I don't know. I know there were straight galleries on pages like Corn snake and others I'd worked on, and then one day they were stacked. I have no idea what happened (Not only am I not a code expert, I think code means putting some lemon juice on a piece of paper and adding heat later). Thanks for asking. Aleister 1:07 25-1-'11
