Right about now, you're more or less wetting yourself, but you manage to raise your shotgun and offer round a spray of shotgun pellets; the Bensonists don't carry firearms as they would kill the 'medieval dungeon' effect down here, and bits of blood-drenched Bensonist robes fly around the chamber before they have time to react. You miss a fair few shots due to some subconscious trembling, but in the end you manage to take them all down with one shell to spare. You suck, but I won't go into that.

Looting the bloody corpses, you find ten dollars, a sacrificial dagger, and-gasp-a scroll for the almighty spell Shield of Benson's Betterness! It can only be used once, and you can bet it'll have to be at a significant plot point, because that's how rare one-use things work. Anyway, your mood soars when you find this.
