The Watch Men[edit | edit source]

Humour: 6 There are some good key laughs, and I see the effort put in, but it really relies on the main concept, which isn't quite strong enough to carry an article for as long as this one attempts.
Concept: 5 I'm not a huge fan of "not to be confused with"'s. It takes me out of the belief of the article. This could've just as easily have been "Watchmen" and might've been much better because of it.
Prose and formatting: 8 Composure1 is certainly a good writer. Easy to follow.
Images: 6 Got some laughs there. Placement was a bit cluttered though.
Miscellaneous: 8 It is a good effort and a fine article for the site.
Final Score: 33 It is a good effort and a fine article for the site wasn't enough?

Charles Lindenburg[edit | edit source]

Humour: 8 HA, god this is a really stupid play on names but damn it if I didn't laugh.
Concept: 7 I hate to award such high value for such minimal effort and one-trick-ponyism, but it did make me chuckle. I probably shouldn't be drunk at 11:30am.
Prose and formatting: 5 Here's where the hammer falls. If you had put in more before delivering the punchline, it could've stopped the one-trick aspect and still accomplished the same goal.
Images: 6 Appropriate.
Miscellaneous: 7 Props for getting me to laugh at a one-trick-pony my friend, it's rare.
Final Score: 33 Keep up the good work. And next time, put in some elbow grease; you've got the emerging chops to do so.

Godzilla vs. Vaginus[edit | edit source]

Humour: 9 So at first I'm all like "here we go, a sequel and a softball of a subject." But lo! Tis very funny.
Concept: 6 Done well, but this comedic effort could've been applied to something original and been even funnier.
Prose and formatting: 9 NICE.
Images: 8 Of course they're not like photoshop perfection, but they are well-done for the piece and are used very well.
Miscellaneous: 9 The links and attention to detail in the formatting really stood out. Great job.
Final Score: 41 I really enjoyed this one.

Dungeons & Dragons: Real Life Edition: Character Races[edit | edit source]

Humour: 5 There are some funny twists on classic racist stereotypes, but over all its pretty well-worn territory.
Concept: 7 Not bad, but also nothing ground-breaking.
Prose and formatting: 7 Lent itself to the format well enough.
Images: 4 UGH images with URLs in them!!!!
Miscellaneous: 8 For effort, and since Guildensternenstein is a funny name.
Final Score: 31 Writer could probably do better.

Plink[edit | edit source]

Humour: 9 I'm very impressed, this was excellent!!
Concept: 10 These are the kinds of articles Uncyc was made for.
Prose and formatting: 8 Couple repeats but still quite ace.
Images: 8 Good, all serve the article well.
Miscellaneous: 8 It would've been a nice touch if every 15th one actually was a plonk.
Final Score: 43 This is a great article.

Paedometer[edit | edit source]

Humour: 7 It packs a punch for something that could easily have sucked terribly.
Concept: 7 Sure.
Prose and formatting: 6 Well written, but draws upon warn ground in a number of places.
Images: 9 I like them; time was obviously spent on them.
Miscellaneous: 6 A few red links are okay, but it looks like a 3D comic book in here.
Final Score: 35 Another worthy effort. Just fine for the site.

Childhood: an essay[edit | edit source]

Humour: 6 Its more peppered with humor than jam-packed. Slightly exceeds the length-to-humor ratio.
Concept: 6 Just a story.
Prose and formatting: 10 A very well-written story.
Images: 8 Obviously appropriate, but also, just pictures of this just a story story.
Miscellaneous: 8 I do so enjoy an episode of the Wonder Years every now and then.
Final Score: 38 Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots.
