The Japanese TV series centered around battles where powerful creatures are summoned using some small object that usually has a real-life equivalent of these battles in the form of a game, except in real life, you don't actually get to summon any creatures of American television.

NCIS with Abby Sciuto, obviously. But as she's officially assigned to be the titular criminal investigative service's major case response team's chief forensic scientist, NCIS doesn't really count as belonging to this type of TV series.
