Jedi Knights, Cookie Monsters, Sean Connery and the Disney Corporation. A lot going on here but not sure it hangs together that well. Like the idea of people looking back on this - in the manner of those TV programmes that go on what people did in the 1980s. Perhaps it just needs some pruning.

A phenomenally great idea to take the Rushdie fatwa wikipedia article and turn it into a death to cookie monster one. I give you high marks for originality. And in the creativity slot I also give you decent marks for using good funny characters to replace serious ones all in the right moments. And decent marks for humour. Some of the lines were pretty funny. I do have to say that an original and creative article should transcend the find and replace function on a word processor though. It works to a great effect though I'd say that either chopping this article down to say five strategically chosen sections and adding a little original content of your own or making some outrageous changes would have made the article a stellar one. In any case...I laughed and I loved the concept. Nice article!

Particularly funny lines were:

• an award on the Welsh translation of Monster's book Epic Fail, which up until then was the only time a government had awarded Monster's work a prize
• Jedi, suggested that Star Wars itself may not be an original story (Christians were offended for not being mentioned);
• Admiral Akhbar
• communal smell from nurds:
• "In Jediic society a blasphemer is held in the same hostile contempt as a paedophile in the West
• Participating in the conference was Oscar the Grouch, who had previously announced that he was going to get the book translated and published.
• The screenplay's Norwegian publisher, Big Bird, is shot and seriously injured.

Thanks a lot. This is one of the pages on Uncyc I am personally most pleased with. I'm glad I managed to mix some humour in with my propaganda. :) Per your comments, I agree it's far to long and drawn out... I was kinda trying to deliberately change as little as possible in the two pages which I fork and spooned together. I did use find and replace, but I also customised most of them after I had done so. I ran out of time in the end, as it was such a big page(s). I would hate to cut any out or shorted it as I want this article to be as close a parody as possible of the wikipedia pages which it's very similar to. I have an extra bit ready to add at some point which I hope will blend things together better than it currently does in this version. ... I would be interested to know what Islam and Rushdie thought about this article. I have no idea who I'm insulting the most here... Probably the Jedi expect. ...
