You follow the shortcut signpost, which tells you to go west. You keep walking west, elated that your quest is finally about to come to an end. Suddenly, you find yourself handing upside down by the foot. A group of rival treasure hunters arrive, explain how they're also searching for the diamond, yada-yada-yada, and how they cannot believe how stupid you were to fall for their cheap trick.
