Having two shores, Llandudno is simultaneously both the world's most easterly and westerly point, thus making it the centre of the known universe, (known to J. R. R. Tolkien as Middleearth). To compensate for its lack of allegiance to either east or west, it is ruled by both a fascist and communist government. Amongst other fascinating historical events to have occurred in Llandudno, Karl Marx came here to to write the Communist manifesto, Hitler started World War 2, and Ronald Reagan was elected president several times. These days, because we now live in a time of peace, it is ruled by Gandalf and Hobbits.
