Hello comrades, I am new to this parody emporium you have. I got my start in absurdly-fictional-posing-as-factual writing back in school, when we were forced every Friday sometimes in multiple classes, to write up a "Current Event" which was of course supposed to consist of summarizing recent news articles. Well I didn't have too much fun in school -okay not any- and was typically too busy to compose said Current Event until the last minute or so, and even then I hardly felt like trudging through malaise-inducing media fabrications flooding out of the Bush II era and choosing one to weep over; mourning the life and death of another week.

So I began mulling over just how cursory the teachers were beginning to grade most things, and thinking I would take a chance to write a blatantly surreal, un-cited news summary concerning the first several things that came to my head. Even stranger, when I got my paper back the succeeding week there was a simple red 'check' over the paper with no corrective scribbles whatever. I was casually amused, thinking I ought to try the same strategy once again in another class, and over the years this clownery worked impressively well: despite the consistent flagrancy of the content, my nonexistent sources were not once challenged. At most I had points removed for failing to append the 'article' I was summarizing from.

I found this site I guess a year ago or so in my research of Wikipedia and what I liked about it was the silly stream-of-pop-culture-consciousness that at its best inspired laugh-out-loud moments of memorable irreverence. My favorite so far has probably been some of the things I found in the Hurricane Katrina page. Though discouragingly I come across increasingly more pages formed by users that take the thoughtfully constructed Be Funny and Not Just Stupid section of this site about as seriously as Bush & Co. have taken our country's Constitution. This site is rife with pictures in greater proportion than the correct accompanying number of words, paragraph links and sub-links and page breaks to lists of links that link to pages with more looping links, the little that is written is disorganized, underelaborated or unintelligible; there is everywhere the blasphemous sense that free-for-all-thinking=divine comedy. For my time here I plan to contribute mainly in adding substance to topics I consider worthy of our collective time. I am rather uneducated in terms of page construction and until I glean more of that I will try and add some paragraphs to fill in the emptiness, as it were. I created this username just recently but before I'd anonymously or with the old user name 'Burt the Monk' wrote some on here including (at the date of this writing, anyway) the final paragraph of the Boris Grishenko page, also Jack Nicholson's School Years and Celebrity War Service. If I delete anything previously written on a given page and write over it this is probably going to be because someone had grossly violated the standards set by this website. There are times when a promising section screams out for me to compose a fresh draft in it. I hope my humble efforts on elaboration here are compounded by your own.
