Architecture is the ancient art of designing houses without actually building anything. It is so ancient, in fact, nobody quite remembers when a construction worker first put down his hammer, took a step back, and said "Shouldn't we build the bottom part of the barn before putting the roof on top? How else will we know if it will look right? Also, I think it would blend into the landscape much better if the front door was over here instead."

In all likelihood, this insightful and revolutionary idea probably got this particular lazy construction worker stoned to death by his colleagues. To this day only lunatics and incredibly thick-headed people still try to be architects.

Famous Architecture[edit | edit source]

If a building lasts more than two generations of ownership without being torn down, then it is undoubtedly very special and famous.
