Deep Blue versus Garry Kasparov was a famous chess match played between the IBM supercomputer Deep Blue and the human Chess Champion Garry Kasparov. Kasparov won the match, winning three, losing one and drawing another, while the remaining set was called off due to injury.
The match has been called "the most exciting chess match in history", which puts it between "shopping for carpets" and "sitting down" in the official scale of exciting things.
