VMCSE[edit source]

A rewrite of a game created a few years ago that I've kept most of the bones of but tidied up bits and pieces. There are a couple of random elements to a couple of pages so you might need to look at code/click refresh to get a better idea of what is going on. Nominally Humane! some time Monday, 11:50, Apr 5 2010 UTC

I'll review this because it will allow me to feel I have done something meaningful with my time as I don't do my CS labs. --Striker2117 20:35, April 27, 2010 (UTC)

Humour: 9.5 The humour in it is very good, especially the way the VMCSE throws a fit when you try to ask about a non-Microsoft OS. The horrible things that you should never do to your computer (although possibly to another person's) that it recommends or guides you through to "solve" your computer problems also made me laugh, as did the un-helpful messages to reboot or reinstall. The only problem I could possibly foresee is that people won't get it, but I suppose that's their problem more than yours.
Concept: 10 Not much to say besides the idea was pretty good and well established.
Prose and formatting: 10 The text spacings and indents were nice and clean, and the style was very similar to that of the wonderful Command Prompt. The code behind it also was very well done as the one page had a list of insults that it (randomly?) chose from to display, and the "fortune" page kept track of which question you clicked on and then chose a seemingly random, unhelpful response from a list of options. Overall, very good.
Images: 10 Not Applicable to this really.
Miscellaneous: 10 For all around good wiki-coding and Microsoft-jibing.
Final Score: 49.5 Besides the fact that some people may not understand this (I had to look some things up and only can guess about some of the code), I like it and the idea behind it.
