CHICAGO, Illinois -- Primary and secondary schools all across the country are slowly banning homemade lunches from school cafeterias. Supporters of this measure believe that the schools are the best to feed the children. Mr. John Breault of John F. Kennedy Middle School in Chicago said

“ I believe that our efficient school lunches are healthy, and they are much more nutritious than the lunches the children bring. ”

Critics of the measure call it an overstep of government influence and that it will result in draconian schools. One worried mother, Mary Jones in the same Chicago area said

“ Well, my son used to bring a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to school. I don't know why these eggheads at the school are prohibiting brown bag lunches, and even if I qualify for free lunches, I think this is ridiculous. ”

This program that started in Chicago has slowly made it across the country. It is expected that at least ninety percent of students will eat school lunches by the end of the year.
