• author = author -> (can have tags)
• title = title that appears in source reference -> (can have tags)
• alt = alternate title that refers to wikipedia article -> (no tags)
• date = date

Not sure, but...

No, underscores need to be used for {{{title}}} (if it is an externa link), {{{alt}}} doesn't need underscores and can have <tags>. ~ Ghelæ ^talk_contribs 13:24, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

I tried {{{alt}}} originally with tags, but also doesn't work through the [[wikipedia: x | y]] thing. --HP talk 13:35, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

As a funny result, if {{{alt}}} is left blank, it pulls up an error page on Wikipedia...hehe --HP talk 13:39, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
