Hea, what's the point of the Familiar vortices in the everyday world and types of vortex sections? They are just lists which don't add anything other than to tell you what's comming... You could do that with the TOC and making sup heading... If you really want the lists, put em at the bottom of the article, not the top... I would also just let the TOC work in its natural form, rather than forcing that section over to the side like that. Just my 2.5p... Have fun. MrN MrN9000SouthParksmall.jpg 20:50, Nov 19

I went with the short "familiar vortices" list as a mockery of "dumb down" attempts to encourage people to read something. It does intentionally tip off some of the material in a basic form as a "teaser". I wanted the actual vortex sections to have technical sounding names while having this list of basic vortices to mockingly whet jane/joe-six-pack's appetite.

The TOC and the "familiar list" evolved side by side because I liked the symmetry. So, the basic translation/toilet picture/TOC and "familiar vortices" made a nice balanced block of crap at the top IMO. That was my first encyclopedia page so I actually had to hunt for the TOC code and figure out where the hell to put it. I notice mine isn't blue-background either. You're definitely right about the excessive list issue. I dumped "types of vortices" and "did you know?" They were totally unnecessary. Thanks! --DrStrange 09:37, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

I finally found my pee review......not happy with it. I'd appreciate input from someone who's familiar with documentaries and can actually see the inter-relation of everything. The guy didn't even understand the "star crap" reference. It's a joke on Carl Sagan's famous "star stuff" quote. Plus it's part of the recurring toilet theme throughout the page. I mean jeezuss h christ, If I was sitting in my house with a complete idiot who didn't understand the concept of vortex.....I'd walk him over to the toilet, flush and say "that's a vortex" dumbass. --DrStrange 11:50, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

Proof-reading[edit source]

Funny page - thanks DrStrange!
I just wanted to fix two punctuation mistakes in the 2nd & 3rd sentences but there's no edit button (why does that happen?). The two "it's"es should be "its"es (because they're possessives, not contractions). Thanks again. --SearingPain 01:53, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

It's amazing how tough it is to shake that error after doing it for so long. Just when I thought I remembered the rule, I went back to it's-ing everything again.--DRStrangesig5.png Sherman.png Fingertalk.png  15:50, December 17, 2009 (UTC)
