The Boston 'C' party was the day when American spelling changed. It is often confused with the Boston Tea Party.

The Boston 'C' Party[edit | edit source]

The Americans were angry, so they threw all the 'C's into the harbour so the British had no defence to use against the Americans. Then they cunningly removed the harbour's U so the British couldn't find it to get them back. Thus the mighty British Empire was thwarted. The British Empire was quite angry about this, so they started the Revolutionary War and created their secret weapon, the Oxford English Dictionary.
