“The terrorists hate America's freedom. Therefore, in order to safeguard America, freedom must be kept safe from Americans.”

~ George W. Bush on freedom

Freedom is a noun usually used along with liberty in order to describe inalienable rights (rights without aliens). Freedom is often used as a rallying word for revolutionaries (see Freedom Fighters and George W. Bush ). The idea behind freedom is that the person using the term is somehow being oppressed, and therefore must be freed. Because of this, the word is commonly abused by politicians and scuzzballs in order to sound righteous or honorable (contrast to communism).

Linguistics

Freedom, in the United States of America, is not real. It is a figment of the government's imaginations forced upon innocent civilians to make them think that they are in fact, "free." But they are not. They are really controlled by Chuck Norris.

Freedom fighter in the US refers to Chuck Norris. Spreading freedom means Chuck Norris forcing people to believe in freedom by roundhouse kicking them in the face. Although, all that really does it knock their lifeless corpses into a new dimension.

For freedom means for Chuck Norris' cause.

The reason that freedom has become accepted by so many Americans today is that they unknowingly fear the wrath of Chuck Norris who has vowed to find any non-believers and roundhouse kick them in the face if they do not believe in the notion of "freedom."

America

America is free-er than you are. No matter where you live, America is still more free. Even if Americans are largely shackled in cages and made to eat bananas all day - you guessed it, they have more freedom than you. In fact, if you lived in a country where you could go out and do anything you wanted and say anything you wanted and you had no jails or government or anything - that's right, you still wouldn't be as free as an American. Look, just face facts: America is free. FREE!

Freedom 2.0

In 2006, Bill Gates announced that he had purchased Freedom. According to The New York Times, Gates acquired Freedom in a trade with George W. Bush for a Mark McGwire rookie card. Mere days after the NYT article ran, Freedom had almost completely disappeared all over the world. A week later, however, it was re-released to the public as a feature-limited spyware program known as Freedom 2.0. Upon installing Freedom 2.0, a user is granted a 30 day license to use their Freedom 2.0 in whatever way they see fit. After the 30 days has expired, another license must be acquired from an official Army Recruitment Center.
