The state of the show since the beginning of time.

Wild Kratts is an animated cartoon that revolves around two human transformer furry brothers, two inventors that constantly succumb to their will, and a pilot that serves no purpose in the story. The show educates its viewers on animals by infecting each episode with millions of facts about the animal in focus, which will likely be forgotten as soon as the episode ends. Since the beginning of time, the show has been on hiatus. The series was created by the Kratt brothers out of a last attempt following the utter failure of their previous shows.

Premise[edit | edit source]

An example of a Kratt brother attempting to activate "lion powers".

The show revolves around five characters: Martin, who can magically craft sculptures in mere seconds, names literally every single animal that they encounter and somehow remembers all of these names; Chris, who has a far cooler haircut and is easily manipulated by his brother Martin; Aviva, who types random keys on her keyboard and calls it inventing, and coincidentally creates "Creature Power Disks" out of thin air; Koki, who most of time serves no purpose other than fixing the "Tortuga", a gigantic turtle-like ship created in memoralization of the soon-to-be-extinct turtles, and is the one that looks up animal videos on the Internet; and Jimmy, who is a zoophobic, child-like gamer that serves no purpose in the progression of the story.

In addition to the main characters, there are four villains who are always able to magically escape the grasp of federal law: Zach, who is so insecure about his lack of invention that he resorts to torturing animals in his inventions; Donita, who uses Elmer's glue to paste animals in unnatural poses all around her body; Gourmand, who eats any animal he encounters for a living; and Paisley Paver, who just builds stuff.

Each episode features "Creature Powers", which enable the furry brothers to satisfy their zoophilic urges by genetically modifying their body to become the animal desired. In order to activate the suits, the brothers must touch an animal and insert the "Creature Power Disks", which are created out of either satisfying Aviva's addiction to inventing, or in emergency. Sometimes, the already confused and often uncomfortable animal that is the subject of the brothers' fandom-like admiration and obsession reacts in anger as the brothers touch them.

The main, formulaic plot for each episode is brothers go on adventure, encounter an "emergency", which is really just a process of nature or a villain, Aviva presses unintelligible keys on her keyboard and magically prints the disks out of her 3D printer, brothers active Creature Powers and emphasize their inner furry, and save day.

Reception[edit | edit source]

Following the show's inception, PBS decided to milk it as much as possible. Because the show focused on animals, critics automatically thought that it was original and decided that that was the only qualifying characteristic that made the show receive much critical acclaim.

Production[edit | edit source]

In Season 1, the show had a dark color palette and actually looked realistic, and had good animation. In Seasons 2 through 5, the contrast was made noticeably higher, but it was still bearable.

In Season 6, the color palette is so insanely high that it hurts the eyes of and gives headaches to anyone who watches it. The facial expressions in this season mostly have displaced mouths, and the animation has seriously declined, as well as the storylines.

Following Season 6, the Kratt brothers (the creators of the show) have completely given up on life and decided to abandon their career. The majority of the run time of this season is overtaken by hiatuses, and the never-ending hiatus plagues the series to this day.
