Vranyo is a style of spoken russian art.

The meaning can be illustrated by the following quote that could have come from Alexandr Solzsjhsjzchenitsyn or somebody else:

They lie to us
We know they're lying
They know that we know that they're lying
but they keep telling us that vodka has a nice taste
and we keep pretending to like it

To translate vranyo directly into English is difficult, but here are some alternatives: applesauce, balderdash, baloney, bilge, blah, blah-blah, blarney, blather, blatherskite, blither, bosh, bull, bunk, bunkum, buncombe, claptrap, codswallop, crapola, crock, drivel, drool, fiddle-faddle, fiddlesticks, flannel, flapdoodle, falderal, folly, foolishness, fudge, garbage, guff, hogwash, hokeypokey, hokum, hoodoo, hooey, horsefeathers, humbug, humbuggery, malarky, muck, nerts, nonsense, nuts, piffle, poppycock, punk, rot, rubbish, senselessness, silliness, slush, stupidity, taradiddle, tarradiddle, tommyrot, tosh, trash, trumpery.
