The Apprentice (Anime Novel)[edit source]

Nishimura Family

Makoto Nishimura- The main character of The Apprentice. He is 12 years old, has long black hair in a ponytail with bangs covering his forehead, black eyes, and is master swordsman. He trained under his sensei: Yasuhiro "Karasu" Hashimoto, who later is found out to be Makoto's Uncle. He is a quiet individual, not acting like any playful 12 year should. In the beginning, he had a deep dislike for his older brother- Ichiro Nishimura and father- Shigeru Nishimura. He is very close to his two sisters- Atsuko and Kiyoko Nishimura. Makoto is known as the Apprentice, a successor to his Grandfather- Nobunaga Oda. His mother and daughter of the Demon King- Hitomi Oda is the sole person who saved the Nishimura village from destruction of his own father- Shigeru Nishimura. Makoto is the possessor of the Tsuitou Metsuki (Memorial Eyes), Douki Metsuki (Incentive Eyes), and Ojos De Loto (Lotus Eyes). He is by the far next to Nobunaga, Nobuhide (Great Grandfather), and Hitomi- the strongest Metsuki (Eye) possessor.

Atsuko Nishimura- Elder sister to both Atsuko and Makoto Nishimura. She had long black hair and black eyes. She is a very caring and overprotective sister- having much worrying for Makoto. Atsuko herself is the sole person who taught Makoto the value of remaining true to himself. It is later revealed that Atsuko possesses a Metsuki that causes her emotions to depict attacks (EX: Fire-Anger). Atsuko has a nature that is revealed to Kiyoko and Kishiko to be that of a ungraceful butterfly. Her killing intent- is reflected upon her emotions towards her hatred and sorrow. Atsuko cares for Makoto to the point that she'll kill anyone that stands in her way- even family. Atsuko is also the sole person who was a mother-figure to both Makoto and Kiyoko while growing up. All in All- Atsuko is a very loving and dangerous sister to both her siblings.

Kiyoko Mishimura- The middle sister between Atsuko and Makoto. Kiyoko has yellow hair with red eyes. Kiyoko has a sense of security and protection- making her wish to become a bodyguard. In the beginning- She didn't tend to Makoto and thought of his actions and emotions as that of inhuman and scary. However, she later wishes to become Makoto's bodyguard with all her strength. She is currently the only Nishimura that DOES NOT possess any eyes. Kiyoko is shown to be a tomboyish sister. Unlike Atsuko's loving nature and Makoto's sadist attitude- her atmosphere revolves around that of becoming a strong samurai. She also trained under her uncle- Yasuhiro "Karasu" Hashimoto. Unlike Atsuko in the beginning- She did not show care towards Makoto, but rahter showed a sense of wonder on why he behaves as such. Later- She then develops a promise to herself- to protect Makoto.
