Takes four parameters for the date:

{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}}

{{CURRENTYEAR}}

Those templates, however, only give the current time. To make them give the time of posting, need to subst: them, as in {{subst:CURRENTTIME}} - this yields, at this very moment, 20:52

To use this with normal signing, however, a special template is also needed to pass the time as parameters, thus {{User:Whyamidoingthis/sigpop/nosubst}} is created; this is used with the inputbox in your preferences.

As in, PLACE THIS IN YOUR PREFERENCES:

{{subst:User:Whyamidoingthis/sigpop/nosubst|{{subst:CURRENTTIME}}|{{subst:CURRENTDAY}}|{{subst:CURRENTMONTHNAME}}|{{subst:CURRENTYEAR}}}}

With which three tildes will produce something along the lines of:

{{User:Whyamidoingthis/sigpop|20:52|8|April|2011}}, or:

Purple&Pink I didn't do it! 20:52, 8 April, 2011 (UTC)

Without those, it acts like a normal signature:

Purple&Pink I didn't do it!
