Relaxed Pronunciation, or Slurring, is a sub-language of English spoken primarily in the midwestern and southern states of America. Most people from the eastern and western states think that their isn't a differnce between the two, but if you look very close, you will see many subtle differences. Here's an example: Correct English We are going to stop at the gas station for a pit stop. Slurnit Wurgunna stopuhthugasstation furrupitstop. As you'll see, the slurred version has a slight difference from the correct version, such as the loss of 10 words. Here is a slightly more extreme example: Correct English You will end up broke if you invest in an unneccessary indenture. Slurnit Yullendubrokifyunvestinnneccessareindenture. In this example, we see the loss of 12 of the 13 original words, and the slight enlargement of the remaining one.
