WASHINGTON D.C. - The infamous Tyler Smith, "The Pixel Bandit", as he was called, has been captured today after stealing and copying several famous paintings. He was charged with theft and several cases of fraud. He was called "The Pixel Bandit" because he replaced the stolen pictures with copies created on the image manipulating system Microsoft Paint.
He took the paintings from the local Museum, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. He took three paintings and some how managed to get past security three times with the paintings. Some portraits he stole include one of George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and lastly, Richard Nixon.
"It was kind of pathetic," said Deputy Charles Harris after arresting Smith. "Taking famous oil paintings, then copying them on MS Paint? What an idiot. And, to make it better, he printed it out on one piece of 8.5 x 11 paper! How stupid" said the Deputy. "however, at the same time I have to admire how he somehow got past the heavy security. How can people be so smart yet so dumb at the same time?"
