The Jaybird-Woodpecker War was a conflict of epic proportions that broke out at Fort Bend County, Texas and lasted for much of the 19th century. The war was sparked by the sentimental song "To Be A Jaybird, Or To Be A Woodpecker", performed by Bob Chapel. After a violent argument concerning the local wildlife, one side took the side of the Jaybirds, while the other side supported the Woodpeckers. Both groups were made up out of Democrats.
