Lady bug had six strong legs, slendid red wings and some attractive black spots. Margie, the insecure bunny rabit was jelous of the lady bug, as Lady Bug was beautiful and Margie was painfuly disfigured. Margie caught upto Lady Bug and asked her if she would be her friend. The Lady Bug ignored Margie and marched on. Margie started to cry and weeped silent invisible tears. The sound they made when they hit the ground was terrifying. Lady Bugs heart pumped out of sheer panic and begged Margie to stop crying silent invisible tears. Margie shed two more tears, which ripped deep holes into the earth, and semi-smiled. "You mean...you do want to be my friend" she said to lady bug.

"No...I'm not saying that I'll be your friend. But I will tolerate you if you stop crying. Those are very dangerous tears". Lady Bug moved on.

Margie felt a sense of joy in her heart, she had never known before. Margies twisted and mal-formed cotton tail moved sort of upwards and then diagonaly, in a motion that suggested that Margie was wagging it. She hopped alongside the lady bug...which moved briskly and with determination.

"What are you doing here in the forest of the cursed"? She asked lady bug.

"I've come here to realise my life's dream" she said, attempting to end the conversation.

"Thats really neat. I never knew people could have a life dream" she said as she started to ask herself what her life dream would be like, if she was able to dream about anything, which she wasn't.

They hopped along in peace. Lady Bug took a few breaks to eat mushroom caps while Margie rested her gangernous leg and let it leak some fluids.

Ladybug stood at the tree of death and ate a mushroom at the foot of the trunk. Ladybug whipered "finally I can realise my lifes dream" as Ladybug gobbled an entire mushrom twice its size. Margie and Marky and Snizzy and Wiffy all looked at Ladybug with pathetic smiles and puppy eyes, eager to see their friend realise their dream. None of them could imagine a better life, so their only hope was to watch Ladybug do so. "What do you think is going to happen, will ladybug turn into a butterfly" Margie asked. "No Margie, I think Salamanders turn into butterflies. Maybe Ladybug is going to become Emperor of the forest" while he giggled a little coughing up some black blood. Wizzy often coughed up collogulated blood. "Or maybe Empress. Does Ladybug have a penis or a vagina" asked snizzy. "Look...I think somethings going to happen" yelled Marie. Their eyes opend wide and they watched as Ladybug fell down very slowly on its back. Ladybugs nerves fired up and it twitched its legs in a frantic and volent episode of convulsive shaking. "Maybe Ladybug is going to transform into a magic fairy" said Marky with glee. Then Ladybug moved less, and then even less until it was difficult to detect any motion. The little creepy crawly creatures waited a couple hours not sure what to expect, careful not to disturb Ladybug as it realised its life long dream. "Maybe this tree is special, because if you eat its mushrooms, you become a tree spirit. Maybe we should also eat the mushrooms" said Snizzy the Hedgehog. "But I don't know if I am smart enough to be a tree spirit" said Wizzy. "And my cotton tail is too bloody to be a tree spirit" said Margie. "I only have one functioning eye...and tree spirits have to see well...no"? said Snizzy. They watched a litle longer...wondering if they would finally see the fruits of Ladybugs journey. Eventually a small dog came by and the land creatures hit behind a bush. The dog ate the Ladybug and then sniffed around for more insects. The dog smelt the other creatures and came within inchest of them. It ripped out the roots of the bush with its mouth and growled at them ready to snatch Snizzy and gobble him up. And suddenly the dog wimpered and cried and then slowly fell backwards on its back and then flinched severaltimes before it closed its eyes. It remained still with its legs sticking in the air. The creatures looked at each other...extremely confused. "Why don't we lie down on our backs and flinch our legs about" said Wizzy. "My legs are too small and I can't flinch them" said Snizzy the small legged elephant mouse.
