Uncyclopedia is a Wikipedia parody purely for jokes, with minimal seriousness.

§1: Important stuff that new Uncyclopedians should follow

Uncyclopedia requires all of its new users to read UN:DUMB, also known as How To Be Funny And Not Just Stupid, and the beginner’s guide. Some people might slip this up, and accidentally request/make serious information on Uncyclopedia.

§2: Elements that are also parodies

Believe it or not, while Uncyclopedia is a satirical site, it has elements that parody Wikipedia’s elements. The five pliers parody Wikipedia’s five pillars, its puzzle potato logo parody Wikipedia’s unfinished puzzle globe logo, its slogan, “the content-free encyclopedia”, parodies Wikipedia’s slogan “the free encyclopedia”, while hinting at the fact that it’s creative work, which is known as libre content, etc.

§3: Sporking and ICU

Sporking

In Uncyclopedia, a sporked template is a template that uses the same code as the current or old version of its namesake Wikipedia template, being its inspiration. For example, the practice of trouting comes from a humorous Wikipedia template used to indicate that a user has done silly behavior. It uses the word “spork” instead of “fork” to sound cooler.

ICU

In Uncyclopedia, an intensive care unit (ICU) tag is used on pages when it needs to be improved and it has remained incomplete for too long. In Preferences/Gadgets/Maintenance gadgets, you can fasten addition of ICU tags by adding a “Mark for ICU” button, or you could simply use the template and type in the current date.

ICU Doctoral Program

When a page that’s marked for ICU is improved, it can be awaited for review by a member of the ICU Doctoral Program, who may delete the ICU tag if it follows the rules of a standard Uncyclopedia page, mainspace or on one of its sub-wikis, and may be outside the user’s mini encyclopedia, sandbox, or userspace.
