The Golden Age ended with the annexation of Hellenia by Atlantis, considered by Western powers as "another brick in the wall between the East and the West" and a strike to the world peace. What followed was a series of accusations and international sanctions, the worst result of which was, arguably, the reaction of the global media, that unanimously declared Atlantis's lack of existence. The only thing left for the pseudo-state was to shamefully sink beneath the Atlantic Ocean.
