Origins[edit | edit source]

Man 2 Man came out of nowhere in the early 2000s a new "man band" for a new millenium! Consisting of 2 singers "Sean Hills" and "Greg Fearon" both songwriters in their own right threw down the gauntlet to the "Boy Bands" that were holding power at the time. They took to the stage in the pubs and clubs around Brighton before taking to the road with a furious vigour to take on the rest of the UK in 2003. Imagine if you will the very best of the very worst music with a pinch of blueberry and a soopson of soul and you come close to what they have achieved. Boy bands beware Man 2 Man, the man band are here for good!

The men behind Man 2 Man[edit | edit source]

Sean Hills: Sean Hills was born in California and grew up on the beach, litterally on the beach after running away at only 8 months old. Even at this time he knew there was a better world out there for him. From this day he swore to the sky that he will become the worlds greatest singer. Growing up Sean had many battles to overcome, mainly with the kids and beach bullies destroying his sand house on a daily basis. Little did he know that only a few months in school would have been beneficial if only to learn the moral of building a house of sand. This daily bullying gave him the dedication he needed to make it in the world of pop.

Greg Fearon: Greg grew up in the ghettos of Hammersmith London, constantly bombarded with the social ecanomics he grew to a strong minded ladies man in his own mind, (reality and history tell a different story.) The Brains behind such classics as "Why do you hit me so Hard?" and "Please stop hurting me" poems from his youth that later became chart topping greats. With insane ability to see through walls he was never caught short and at 17 made the career choice to move away from being the lookout man for his gang who would rob children of their lunch money to take up a career as a body guard. This was shortlived as his lack of depth perception was not seen as an assett more of an issue when it was noticed that he constantly walked into walls.

If I was: Greg - If I was something that wasn't me I'd be a tree becuase they are made of bark and sticks, and that's just like Kung Fu.

If I was: Sean - If I was not me I'd be you and then you'd be me and I could make you do whatever I wanted.

Influences and Music[edit | edit source]

Sean Hills In an extract taken from the July 1993 issue of Smash Hits Magazine Sean Hills gave the following statement "I would have to say that I have been heavily influenced by Milli-Vanilli" he goes on to hail them as the Justin Timberlake of the early 90s. "The pure power in their dance moves captivated me and with my best friend at the time we would spend hours recreating the moves to the music of Tiffany and Jason Donavon and would have show-downs with the local girls to show off our 'Power Moves', needless to say we would win with our sexy shaking Milli-Vanilli stances. Later in the half page interview Sean gave the list of heavy influences in his lyrics and music. Shakin Stevens, Garry Glitter, Liberache, Barry Manilow and 5-Star.

Greg Fearon There is little known from the Smash Hits earer of the music industry about Greg as this was his Poetry phase, but in a Harvester in Watford we caught up with Greg at the all you can eat salad bar for £5.50 for an exclusive interview. As greg couldn't stay long owing to a concert he was playing later that day in a local girls school we had a chance for a few minutes with him as he tucked into his pasta salad and yes, he had brought his own plate to allow a bigger portion. "My influences have got to include Vanilla Ice, I felt the lyrics to be inspirational and aspired to have the world he spoke about in his tune. 'Hi-Hats with a souped up tempo", genius, I could feel what he was saying, mix that with a little Celine Dion and you get what in my opinion is a music that is hard to beat. This is what I've tried to recreate in our music you don't need me to say imagine, all you need to do is listen to the CD and you will feel the essence of the love." Greg at this point was looking over my shoulder and at me at the same time, I could see where Sean had got the idea for "It's the way you look at me" and "It's hard being pesamistic when you see round corners". With that Greg asked me to leave as a man approached with a pistol ready for Gregs daily pistol whipping. So we left him to his bowl of salad.
