You may notice a few of my edits that start with square brackets. If you wonder exactly what these tags mean, you can find the explanation below, with analogises to pressing the "detonate" button on a bomb. Why did I pick that analogy? No particular reason.

Manual Script Edits[edit | edit source]

Manual Script Edits are those made using a script, but either done completely manually, or a choice has been made by a human (me) in what page to run the tool on, and when. Think of it as choosing to press the detonate button.

Semi-Automated Edits[edit | edit source]

Semi-Automated edits are edits that are controlled by human input, but done by a script. It is safe to say that every edit I make with this tag I will actively know I am making that edit, but I won't know what page I am editing until it is next in line. Think of it as a robot presenting as many detonate buttons as possible, but one at a time, and I choose whether or not it presses the button.

Automated Edits[edit | edit source]

Automated edits are those made using scripts. For example, when using the Template Remover script. I have no idea what pages I'm editing before they are edited, and require no human input. The only input I make, is deciding to activate the script manually. The rest is automatic. Think of it as a robot pressing as many detonate buttons as possible, all by itself, and only doing so when I tell it to start.
