My Cousin Vinnie is a masterpiece in which Joe Pesci features as both the good guy and the bad guy.

Nobody wanted to defend poor Vinnie in court after he murdered one of Capone's thugs in a gas station except Joe the Pesci. He graduated the law school with magna cum laude after the dean of the faculty was blessed with fresh air from the ninth floor.

The easiest part was when Joe was in court. The judge was surely convinced by his methods, since he not only granted Vinnie freedom, but also gave Joe Pesci full court powers.
