THIS IS AN IDIOT PROOF GUIDE.
I get asked this all the time and I will do the best I can to help you dumbass' out. (no offense)
I will start with some questions:
>Tarra, how do I install an ISO?
This is a normal question for me. An ISO is only a sort of compressed file. What you will need to do is get Winrar (CLICK THE FUCKING BLUE TEXT ON THAT!). It's free, it's easy to use and Pretty straightforward.
An ISO is a type of media that tricks the computer into thinking it has physical media in its disk drive.
>Tarra, I'm getting a message saying it has another expansion pack. What do I do?
This is common for most people that try to install the game. Most likely, you have the Sims already installed. Meaning you thought this Cracked version would cut it and so on. You need to uninstall All Sims games. (Not 2 or 3 they are fine) Should have no issues from there. DONE
>Tarra, I clicked everything and it tells me that it still needs the disk and it wont go away.
1. Open task manager at the bottom of your bar, right click, task manager, then look for Sims.exe and right click and close it.
2. Look in the folder labeled CRACKS then the folder labeledThe Sims Complete Collection 1.91 OMG YOU FOUND IT! And here I thought you were dumb.
>Where do I put the crack?
for windows 10 and down
C:\program files (x86)\Maxis\the Sims or C:\program files\Maxis\the Sims
You are going to need to replace the .exe file at the bottom of the folder. Just delete it. Replace with the crack version DONE.
>Tarra, I'm getting a black screen and nothing is happening.
1. IF this is Vista and 7, what you will need to do is go to "The Sims" shortcut on your desktop, right click and goto your properties. when you do, goto capability mode. Then click on the box making it into another user. Make it Windows XP. This normally makes it work. If you still have issues.. I don't know what to tell you, I will look further into it.
2. Right-click the Sims icon. When you do, go to "Shortcut Tab" see that box that says "Target"? Look at the end of it, add this
"C:\Program Files\Maxis\The Sims\Sims.exe" -w 1024x768 you will want to add the -w 1024x786. or maybe 800x600. Pick one. doesn't matter.
3. All else fails, you can also install XP in a virtual machine/box and that's pretty simple too. Then install the game there. I've done that, I've gotten it to work.
>Where is the serial?
It's in the same folder as the crack. Open it and it should say Serial
>Should I do anything with anything else in the folder like The Sims Complete Collection 1.91 and The Sims Complete collection Mini Image?
No.
