The Thamesdown Octagonal Bridge is a bridge above the Octagon Cafe in Swindon which has a bridge which sees the whole of swindon with a good view.

The Thamesdown octagonal bridge was named after the Octagon Cafe and Thamesdown Transport which was the old name for swindon in the late 60's.

Where is it?[edit | edit source]

It is in Swindon's Thamesdown Bus Station in Old Town. Above the Octagon Cafe

How do i get there?[edit | edit source]

There is an elevator which takes you there plus some stairs which are a bit longer to take.

What if i am lost?[edit | edit source]

Do not panic there will be signs to the bridge in old town.

The Grand Opening Ceremony[edit | edit source]

The Grand opening and offical opening of the Bridge opened on 30th September 2009. at 5pm. The Ribbon Cutting was be done by Jack Booth and 20,000 Watched on TV and 120 Saw in Person. Above the bridge is Carlton Heights which is a car park. The Bridge can see high views , buses and most of the sky!
