You lean over and give her a quick, gentle peck. Or, I dunno, maybe a long, drawn-out snog. Maybe even with tonguing. I don't care. Honest. Either way, your lips + her skin = the Kiss of Life in most fairytale dictionaries. And, yes, she's finally waking the hell up!
The Medusataur lets out a soft yawn, stands bolt upright, and cries "What's going on? It's pitch black in here! I could be eaten by a grue!" Fumbling for her eyes, she encounters the peril sensitive sunglasses. "Is this a prank?" she shouts. "Am I being 'punked' or whatever you call it?"
Seizing your chance, you sidle right up to her and prepare to command her to give you the unobtanium key. But, quick as a flash, she produces the bottle of Frobozz Cleaning Co. Liquid Sunglasses Destroyer that she had in her right hand all this time, and in moments her petrify-gaze-suppressing sunnies are melting away like a Wicked Witch in water - and with it your hopes and dreams.
You find yourself gazing straight into the Medusataur's wide open eyes... ...and that's all you'll ever be doing ever again, because you've just turned to stone.
