Here at Uncyclopedia, no one can stop you from disclosing information. However, it may be dangerous to let certain types of information out. Personally identifiable information (PII), as defined here, should be blurred out using the Revision Delete function by admins; users may report pages containing PII to admins. Admins will always blur out information if requested by the person who wrote said information; however, please note that this may not be 100% effective, since there might be web crawlers archiving these pages.
Please note that all pages on Uncyclopedia are publicly accessible, with practically no exceptions. The only pages that are actively blocked from public view are special pages, such as the abuse filter management page.
TL;DR: Only post information that you're okay with someone else finding out in ten years here.
What you can say
Please note that this page isn't exhaustive.
- Your first name, if it is relatively common (top 1,000 names is usually a good limit);
- Your Wikipedia account;
- Your spoken languages;
- Your job (so long as it is common);
- Your country;
- Whether you're attending college/university or no;
- Your favorite Uncyclopedia page;
- Whether you use GNU/Linux or no;
- Your age, but only if it's above 20.
What you could say, after thinking once or twice
- The gender you identify as. (Unfortunately, catfishing is quite common on the internet.)
- Your birthday, excluding the year;
- The country subdivision (e.g. province, state, prefecture, etc.) you live in;
- Your age, if it is either 18 or 19.
What you should not say
- Your age, if it is below 18;
- What grade you're in, if you are in middle or high school (since this implies age);
- Your city;
- What university you're in, or your alma mater;
- Your IP address;
- Other peoples' IP addresses (this especially applies to you admins...);
- Your full name;
- Your Social Security Number;
- Anyone else's PII.
Administrative disclosure of personally identifiable information
Administrators should take particular care to not disclose any personally identifiable information via public channels. Do not insert personally identifiable information onto Uncyclopedia itself.
