Template:Namespace/doc

From Uncyclopedia, the content-free encyclopedia
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Shows content, usually categories, based on namespace specified. Unless you seriously need this template, just use includeonly tags, or another simpler namespace template.

Usage

Rather than setting a namespace name as the value of a parameter, you call the namespace name itself as a parameter, and whatever content you put in that parameter (a category usually) will only show in that namespace.

For example, {{Namespace|UnBooks=[[Category:Horror stories]]}} will only show in the "UnBooks" namespace.

In most cases, the {{{2}}} parameter seems to act as the "else" part of an "if-else" statement.

Numbered parameter call

Alternatively, you can call the numbered parameters directly (i.e. "1=, 2=") using this shorthand as a guide.

  • 1 - Article pages
  • 2 - All pages, including discussion pages if no 3 and Articles if no 1 - Set this to 'unset' others
  • 3 - All discussion pages (Talk pages and Forum)
  • 4 - User, User talk, and Articles if no 1
  • 5 - File, Category, and Articles if no 1
  • 6 - Everything but Discussion pages, Forum and Uncyclopedia (Articles if no 1)
  • 7 - File, Category and Template (Articles if no 1)
  • 8 - File, Category, Template and User pages only
  • 9 - Everything but Category, Discussion pages, Forum and Uncyclopedia (Articles if no 1)
