Template:Namespace
| You really shouldn't use this template if you can help it. |
Shows content, usually categories, based on namespace specified. Unless you seriously need this template, just use includeonly tags, or another simpler namespace template.
Usage
Rather than setting a namespace name as the value of a parameter, you call the namespace name itself as a parameter, and whatever content you put in that parameter (a category usually) will only show in that namespace.
For example, {{Namespace|UnBooks=[[Category:Horror stories]]}} will only show in the "UnBooks" namespace.
In most cases, the {{{2}}} parameter seems to act as the "else" part of an "if-else" statement.
Numbered parameter call
Alternatively, you can call the numbered parameters directly (i.e. "1=, 2=") using this shorthand as a guide.
1- Article pages2- All pages, including discussion pages if no3and Articles if no1- Set this to 'unset' others3- All discussion pages (Talk pages and Forum)4- User, User talk, and Articles if no15- File, Category, and Articles if no16- Everything but Discussion pages, Forum and Uncyclopedia (Articles if no1)7- File, Category and Template (Articles if no1)8- File, Category, Template and User pages only9- Everything but Category, Discussion pages, Forum and Uncyclopedia (Articles if no1)
Shorthand parameter calls
You can also call the namespace parameters via these stupid nicknames
