Seperate from Template:Surrendered, this one should be used when the commander is killed, rather than when the commander surrenders.
Usage
This is very useful for military-based articles.
Parameters

|bold=If set to no, turns off the boldness in the character
|alt=If set to yes, displays KIA instead of the cross
}}
For example, if bold is set to no...
And as another example, if alt is set to yes...
