It is possible to get the featured article title (or rather, the most recent addition to Category:Featured), but not possible to redirect or transclude {{}} it:

What you'll probably have to do is update it each time. Or, make User:Rcmurphy do it, or trick him into doing it. If you can convince him to make Template:Featuredarticle/link which would contain only the plain text of the title of the current featured article, eg Citizen Kong, then you could transclude it automatically a-la: {{:{{Featuredarticle/link}}}}. You could tell him that making Template:Featuredarticle/link would automate some services or other, or some crap ^_^. Like, people could link to the current featured article in their pages simply by using [[{{Featuredarticle/link}}|today's featured article]]. He could even use the code in the template itself for the read more link. He might buy it ^_^. --Splaka 08:47, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
