Talk:New Hampshire
Very First Section[edit source]
Most of the edits in July, 2009 are from the user known as Spike-from-NH
on Wikipedia. All of these additions reflect the wisdom that good humor must have a seed of truth, although the stems and leaves are total crap, and they are developed with an a low level of scholarly rigor appropriate for this site. Regretfully, I have deleted several paragraphs where an author rambled on about his New Hampshire home town; they were clever but not all the way to funny. The reader will see a few remaining sore thumbs toward the end of the article, left in place, as a team might voluntarily give up a couple runs, merely so that their author will come back and play the next game. (PS--Sorry, not any more.)
If a couple more weeks go by and no one rolls everything back, sniffing that it is "original research," I might put in for an account here. (Now done --SpikeFromNH 00:21, 1 August 2009 (UTC))
Massachusetts[edit source]
The Manchester Union-Leader has an article on a commission formed to ruminate over the NH Motto. A reader has just commented that our motto beats the one from Massachusetts, which she quotes as: "Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, unless you're a Kennedy." This belongs in the Massachusetts article, in place of, "It"s pronounced Massachusetts not Massive Shits." But the Massachusetts article is protected. --SpikeFromNH 00:21, 1 August 2009 (UTC) PS--Got it in; thanks to whomever made it possible. --SpikeFromNH 20:27, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
