Encyclopaedia Britannica[edit source]

Encyclopædia Britannica is one of the many parodies of Uncyclopedia available to those without taste. It is best known for its focus on informational accuracy being shoved down the throats of students enrolled in the International International Baccalaureate, by misinformed teachers who have not yet discovered a much more reliable source, Uncyclopedia.

Among its many distinguishing characteristics, Encyclopædia Britannica insists on using the æ symbol, instead of the much simpler letters ae. It is thought that this is in an attempt to confuse aforementioned mentioned misinformed teachers into believing that it is an academic source, and not a collection of poorly updated articles.

The use Britannica in the name, might suggest strong british influence, though this is not present. The site can hardly decide between British and American english.
