Seriously; has this happened to anyone else?....

I missed a flight from LA to Mexico City because they had put a 'Delayed' sign at the podium at my gate, and so I went to a restaurant in LAX. It turned out to be completely sound-isolated from the rest of the terminal, and so I could not hear them paging me. I had a nice time talking to some oil refinery salespeople from Australia. The rigmarole to change my ticket wasn't bad, they didn't charge me anything extra, but I had to spring for a hotel room for the night and make an embarassed call to the girl I was going to see--Shandon 16:15, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
