HowTo:Converse in Blah
A form of speech originated by a species known to paleontologists as 'Charlie Brown adults,' conversing in blah became quite popular in the 1970s, at about the same time the tenfold production of pumpkin patches occurred. In order to perform this sacred ritual, a person must first make themselves partially or completely invisible to the everyday world. After injection of a bevy of horse tranquilizers, the person proceeds to open their mouth and rattle off a long and distinguished procession of words of secretive meaning. For instance, in blah form, an excerpt of the Gettysburg Address looks like this:
'Blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blahdy blah, blahdy blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blahbiddy blah, blahbiddy blah blah. Blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah. BLAH BLAH!! Blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah.
Blah blah.'
Blah is considered by many to be one of the most difficult languages to learn.
History[edit | edit source]
Founded somewhere between the creation of the earth and 16 by the Supreme Rule of Charlie Brown Adults (SRCBA, for short), an indigenous people who thrived on muleskin and mineral water and dressed in skintight togas to repel their hated enemies, the smurfs. Decades of repression and torture at the hands of the smurfs were finally relieved when then-President Billie Jean granted SRCBA politcal asylum from repression and torture. The rest of the world wasn't quite as fortunate.
The townsfolk rejoiced by huffing some kittens and creating a new language. The language was blah.
The 1970s became known as the 'Age of Blah,' as the widespread use of cocaine took hold on the world's population. Cocaine is a key component in understanding blah. Shag carpeting, washed out movie prints, disco music, and polyester suits ruled the day.
