Ant & Dec's Limitless Win
Ant & Dec's Limitless Win is a iTV programs that make people who join can win unlimited money. The hosts, as the name suggests, is the duo Ant & Dec.
Rules[edit | edit source]
Before the game starts, player will answer questions rapidly in 60 seconds, with the goal of as many correct answer as possible. Each correct answer will give the player 5 "lives" and will rotate turn to team mates. After 60 seconds, they will start with the number of "lives" corresponding to number of correct answer, but if they do not have any correct answer before time run out, though it looks somewhat improbable due to first question are usually easy, goodbye, they do not get to play the game and their play may not be even aired :)
In the main game, every questions' answer is a number and players will move up by the number that they answer. If players' answer are under the exact answer, they will lose some of the number of "lives", depend on the difference between it and the exact answer, and the cash banked remains as it is even if player may have gone through some milestones. If players go over the exact answer, even by only one (!!), or are under the exact answer by more number of "lives" they had left, game over and goodbye, they don't get to have anything. If the team gives an exact guess, they receive five more lives and their bank is increased to match the highest cash value they have reached to that point.
If they feel that they cannot continue the game anymore, they can choose to cash out and walk away with whatever money they had to that point.
Prize[edit | edit source]
As the program name suggests, the prize here is not capped. The first 12 values displayed on the Limitless Ladder are £500 (the starting point), £1,000, £2,500, £5,000, £10,000, £20,000, £30,000, £50,000, £75,000, £100,000, £150,000, and £250,000. Onwards, every 10 additional steps will increase the prize by a further £250,000, make you can win unlimited money, though it is highly improbable to win over £1,000,000 due to the fact that the higher you climb the harder the questions.
There is claim that if the players win too much money then the broadcasting station could go bankrupt.
Lifeline[edit | edit source]
To help the players, there will be four lifelines which are shuffled on the ladder. Unlike other gameshow, you don't get to keep multiple of them, as if you have another lifeline when there's an unused one, you must choose one of them and discard the other.
The lifelines are:
- Take Two: Player will lock in their answers as usual, then the hosts (yes, the hosts!) will come to where player stands to locked in the answer. If the ladder accept the higher answer, it is guaranteed that it is not over the exact answer, but if the ladder accept the lower one, then there's still possibly that players go over.
- Odd or Even: Player will be told if the answer is an odd or even number. It is the lifelines that is not helpful compared to other lifeline.
- Range: The range that the exact answer lies in.
- More than: Player choose a number, the ladder will tell them if the exact answer is more or less than that.
Catchphrase[edit | edit source]
"One over is game over"
"Exact answer bank you cash"
"Did you go over with <answer player locked in>, or are you still in the game?"
