Allahu akbar is an Arabic phrase with multiple meanings, with most of the meanings being friendly. Common meanings include:
- Hello
- Good morning
- Good afternoon
- Good night
- Goodbye
- Nice weather out
If you want to come off as friendly and respectful towards other cultures, you should say the phrase at your place of work (particularly if you work at a government building), school, or especially the airport. In Arabic, it is always shouted, so make sure to shout it, at the risk of sounding ignorant.
