Electricity was the hugest scam ever tried. In 1895, the evil genius Thomas Alva Edison and his minions blackmailed the American government in order to make them buy from him the right to use "electricity", a supposed new form of energy that allowed (allegedly) to light small glass bubbles in order to create light, move vehicles by the use of "electric engines" and even activate "electronic devices". He even went so far as to say that it was "One source of energy" that was "The ULTIMATE Discovery!!". After years of attempting to harness the power of magic pixdust, he was killed by guerilla mutants.

Fortunately for Mankind, Edison wasn't able to deliver all the marvels he promised, and he fell in disgrace. Until today, no proof has ever been found that makes us believe that electricity ever existed. Thank God we still have coal to power the steam engines that move our industrialized countries forward to a brighter, silver-lined future. Onwards!

We have successfully adopted newer and newer forms of energy to get over the fake electricity scam of Edison. Uncyclopedia runs on servers powered by burning junk computers and cowdung in firewire.
